This week's joy in the misfortune of others comes courtesy of the
Chicago Tribune (from Thursday, June 10; link good at time of posting):
A suspect almost got away after snatching a purse at a Chicago transit station and running off Wednesday morning.
But then he stopped to count the money. Just outside a police station.
A witness who had been following the suspect alerted officers inside the police station at and the robber was arrested after a brief chase.
"I guess it never dawned on him that it was a police station," said Lt. Ken Sahnas.
